In my private practice, I have been offering psychotherapy, consultation, and assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults for over 30 years. As a clinical/school psychologist, I have trained and worked in hospitals, schools, and other service agencies. This breadth of experience provides me with enormous insight into a variety of individuals at many phases of life, and in various settings as well.
My approach to treatment focuses on YOU, the individual. Making a strong and supportive connection, providing a comprehensive intake to help determine your unique needs, developing a relevant yet effective treatment plan, and forming a positive relationship with you, enables us to work successfully toward reaching your goals. Together, we can take your therapy experience as far as you would like it to go, empowering you to reach your fullest potential.

If you have been in therapy before, you are probably familiar with the process. If therapy is new to you, I hope to help you anticipate what will happen during therapy. You will experience a variety of feelings. The process of therapy can help you feel better overall, but it is important to realize that at times, you may also feel worse. Please note that these feelings are temporary and are a necessary part of the therapeutic process! Therapy is about growth and healing, which sometimes involves facing difficult emotions before you can start to feel better. This is a common and temporary part of the process. Discussing uncomfortable and emotional topics helps you resolve these issues so you can begin to move forward. In time, you should start to feel better, and feel better more consistently. Your progress in therapy depends on you: your regular attendance and commitment to therapy, your insights, and your active participation in your treatment.
Therapy involves a significant commitment of time, energy, and money. For your investment, you have the right to expect courtesy and respect. If, at any time, you have concerns about the process of therapy, your progress, my services, or me, please feel free to discuss your concerns with me. This will promote open, effective communication, resulting in the best possible outcome for you.
Therapy is an extraordinary personal journey and if you would like, I can be your trustworthy guide. Together we will embark on a course that may change your life. This is a very special process that is as unique as you are. In our therapy, you are in the driver's seat. You have the wheel, the gas, and the brakes. My role is to provide guidance, insights, and support while you take control of the wheel, and your life.
