Tips For Reaching Me

When in the office, I am usually in session or on the phone, making it a little difficult to reach me directly. (It is rare for me to accept a phone call during session.) Because of this, I usually receive a high number of voice messages. I check my voice-mailbox frequently during the day and evening, returning phone calls as promptly as possible. Typically, I am able to return most calls within 24 to 48 hours.

When leaving messages, please leave your full name, phone numbers, and some times when I may reach you. If you don’t hear from me promptly, please call again as there might be a problem with the delivery of your message. During an emergency, if you are unable to reach me directly, please call 911 or proceed to your nearest Emergency Room.

Email communication may become helpful to share certain information. Keep in mind that email and all electronic communications are unsafe because we are unable to ensure confidentiality. If you are comfortable taking the risk by using email, then such correspondence might have limited utility. Email is best for brief exchanges of information only; kindly use the phone to schedule or cancel your appointments. As email delivery can be unreliable at times, I would prefer scheduling to take place in person or over the phone.

If you have a question regarding your treatment, I urge you to ask questions during your session. Face-to-face communication is the most direct and efficient way to explore your concerns, and I place great value on your reactions to our sessions. If you are the parent of a child who is attending therapy, please ask questions or provide updates at the beginning of your child’s session so that we may use the remainder of the session to explore these matters. Open communication is conducive to the best possible outcome for you, so I welcome and encourage you to ask any and all questions you may have. This helps ensure that you receive the most effective, personalized care.
